What is our response to COVID-19?

Due to the new mask mandate, masks are optional.

Our waiver forms are now done online! Please be sure to read and fill out the forms before your appointment time.

In between games, our staff will continue to disinfect all surface areas and items within the room, ensuring that your game is clean and ready when you arrive.

We will no longer have a lobby! We are located on the second floor and we will have a large sign that has instructions for our guests!

For everyone's safety, we ask our guests to come 15 minutes early and no earlier!

Our games will now all be conducted without being face to face with any of our employees.

We will contact you before the game to give more instructions and to clarify that you understand.

We have increased the time in between escape games to give more time for the air filters and UV sanitation to clean the air.
What is an escape room?
An escape room is a physical adventure game where players must use teamwork and creative thinking to escape from the room or achieve their mission within a specified time limit. Escape Room Era has many clues, puzzles, and riddles that will challenge both the beginner and the experienced player. Surprises abound, too! Am I really locked inside in an escape room?
No, doors are closed but will remain unlocked in case of an emergency. If you need the restroom or need to leave at anytime that is totally okay. Remember the emphasis on escape rooms is fun!
Are escape rooms scary?
Nope!
Our Christmas themed escape room, Christmas at Franklin's has a colonial theme and places you in a magical setting.
The Overgrown escape room has a post-apocalyptic theme but is not scary.
Are the escape rooms wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately our Orange County escape rooms are not wheelchair accessible, as we are on the second floor where an elevator is not available.
What are the escape rooms age requirements?
There are no age limitations for admission into our Orange County escape rooms, but children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
How many players are there per escape room?
Christmas at Franklin's = 4-9 players, and this escape room works best with more people due to non-linear puzzles.
The Overgrown = 2-6 players, and this escape room has a linear nature.
How long does the escape room take?
Expect to spend at least 1.5 hours at Escape Room Era. There is a 15-minute pre-game session to discuss rules, tips, and backstory; and a one-hour game; then a final 15-minute post-game session to discuss your game and take photos.
Are the escape rooms private?
All escape games are always private.
Is alcohol allowed in the escape rooms?
Absolutely no alcohol is allowed. Any person exhibiting intoxicated behavior will not be allowed to play and no refund will be issued. Please respect this, as we wish all participants to have a wonderful and safe game.
What is the cost to play an escape room?
Christmas at Franklin's = 4-9 Players. $35/person.
The Overgrown = 2-6 Players. $35/person.
Is the Christmas escape room similar to the original Benjamin Franklin escape room?
We remodelled the entire escape room and added all new puzzles. The escape room is in the same location, but everything will look and feel different overall.
What are your escape room hours?
Monday - Thursday 4:00pm - 10:30pm
Friday - Sunday 10:45 am - 12 am
